Tania Zapparoni is a highly qualified and experienced Counselling Psychologist with over 30 years in the field. Specialising in professional supervision, Tania is dedicated to guiding and mentoring fellow psychologists, helping them enhance their clinical skills and professional development.
With a background that includes roles in educational settings, community organisations and private practice, Tania brings a wealth of knowledge to her supervision and psychological services. She is an AHPRA Board Approved Counselling Psychologist and Family Therapist (AAFT) and a Fellow and Supervisor of APS (Australian Psychological Society) College of Counselling Psychologists (FCCOUNP).
Tania’s supervision and therapeutic philosophy is influenced by her own experiences, both positive and negative, as well as her systemic supervision training at the Bouverie Centre. Her approach is client-centred and strength-based, fostering a safe, judgement-free environment for supervisees and patients.
As a supervisor, Tania encourages growth, self-discovery, and sustainable practice, supporting individuals to find their unique style that suits their theoretical frameworks and practice modalities. As a psychologist, she specializes in complex mental health presentations; addiction and conflict in couples; trauma recovery; and specialist therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, CBT, ACT and more.
